I worked with my last school for the coffin works yesterday at St Matthew’s C of E Primary School in Birmingham. The theme was to create images to celebrate everyone’s lives and uniqueness. Often when people pass away, we like to celebrate people’s lives and think about what made them unique and all of their idiosyncrasies. I had a wonderful day with the children and teacher listening to African music, painting, drawing and hearing about the children’s dreams, aspirations, hobbies, friends and favourite books. Here is the teacher’s artwork Tracey Adams, she is looking forward to seeing her work framed with the children’s at the coffin works launch in Sept 2014.
