I was very lucky to spend a week on the Children’s Picture Book illustration Summer School held at Cambridge School of Art, Anglia Ruskin University. We learnt how to develop picture books, character development and the importance of words and pictures working together. It finished with a conference on the many ways of reinventing yourself as an artist/ illustrator from the view of the agent, publisher and the artist.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who aspires to be published in the children’s picture book market. There were students from all over the world who attended this well renowned course.
